Stressed after a long day's work? Mind cluttered with the worries and anxieties of the day? Then The Braeded Chord's new release, "Evening Grace," is for you. This latest project features soothing and relaxing music, with beautiful melodies interwoven with sometimes playful harmonies. It's also accented with punchy songs like "Courage," which won Silver in the 2013 MASC (Mid Atlantic Song Competition) in the Inspirational category. The world percussion touches of Tom Teasley add nicely. After listening to the project from start to finish, the only thing you'll feel compelled to do is to push "replay!"
It's hard to believe it, but we've been going strong asThe Braeded Chord for over fourteen years.Starting out as an acoustic duo regularly performing at Starbucks and Einstein Bros. Bagel shops in Northern Virginia, TBC now has morphed into internationally-known, award-winning songwriting and recording veterans, with a heavy dose of consulting and training on the side. TBC's latest venture is in the music publishing arena. Two summers ago we were asked to lead a workshop on Intergenerational Worship and write and debut a new setting of Evening Prayer Service at the Association of Lutheran Church Musicians regional convention in California. The process of studying scripture and liturgy and setting it to music has become an integral part of what we do-- so we hope to continue to release and distribute new settings for psalms, anthems, and reset ancient creeds to new music.
"Lovely! Simple, easy to learn by rote, and a gorgeous musical setting for the text. Not easy to find these days. To my fellow church musician colleagues: Take note of The Braeded Chord!" -- Dr. Jean Boehler, Cross Accent Journal, Music Editor
"I’m happy to report that we’ll be doing Joyous Light of Glory for our midweek Advent services in December 2013. My choir has begun learning the music and they like it. Thanks for a great composition." -- R. Wildhirt
