In 2011, Sharon and Doris were asked to write new music for the Evening Prayer Service by the Association of Lutheran Church Musicians, to be presented at their 2012 gathering at Cal Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks, CA. They crafted each piece with care, applying modern song structure to increase singability.
"We have found comfort, healing and joy in the words to this evening prayer service," says Sharon. "It is our prayer that the music will 'rise as a pleasing sacrifice' to our Lord, and that these melodies will help to write these words in people's hearts."
Now "Joyous Light of Glory" Evening Prayer Service is available for general use. Each CD of PDFS contains complete musical scores ready to be printed for leader and congregation with accompaniment by piano, guitar, violin and flute.
